Before I was ever interested in graphic design I was leaning towards the fine artist side of things. I had never touched any sort of graphic design program. I had no clue how to build a website let alone how to format the graphics for web. These are a few of my early art pieces. There are quite a few more in Kansas not shown here that are hanging on family members walls.
This was my first attempt at producing fine art via a computer program. In this case I used the airbrush and water tool in the program Painter Classic which came free with my high school’s newly purchased Wacom Tablet. At the time Little River High School had just purchased Apple laptops for all of their students to try and keep up with the times.
By the time I had graduated I had created other original digital art and I began winning awards at art shows. This pepper was once mistakenly placed in the photography section at one art show. I was even interviewed by the local news asking about what I was doing to integrate digital media on the laptops into the art department at Little River High School. Several occasions I was asked to talk and give demonstrations at a couple of Teacher Workshops for teachers from across Kansas.
